St. Sebastiaan Dark is a dark, medium to top fermented abbey beer that tastes sweet and bitter on the tongue. This St. Sebastiaan has a strong, sweet caramel and malty aroma and gives it a full mouthfeel. The brewery re-ferments it in the tankard and bottle. The result is a nice, clear beer with a wonderful aroma and, for those who love it, a nice touch of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.
Since 1651, Brouwerij Sterkens has been brewing delicious and traditional top-fermented abbey beers in Meer, a small village in the north of Belgium. Brewing according to tradition and ancient recipes, complemented by the knowledge and experience gained in past decades, are still the main assets of the Brouwerij Sterkens brewing process.
