St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru is a golden, intensely fermented abbey beer with a distinctive fruity aroma and subtle hints of carefully selected herbs. This St. Sebastiaan has a good balance of sweetness and bitterness and has a pleasant, full-bodied flavor with a smooth, malty aftertaste. The brewery re-ferments the Grand Cru in the decanter and bottle. The result is a nice, clear beer with a wonderful aroma and, for those who love it, a hint of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.
Since 1651, Brouwerij Sterkens has been brewing delicious and traditional top-fermented abbey beers in Meer, a small village in the north of Belgium. Brewing according to tradition and ancient recipes, complemented by the knowledge and experience gained in past decades, are still the main assets of the Brouwerij Sterkens brewing process.
