The unsurpassed Gulden Draak Classic as a 10.5% alcohol triple dark received a strong addition after 25 years of growing success, the Gulden Draak 9000 Quadruple. The particularly rich and complex flavor palette and full head can also be found in the Gulden Draak 9000 Quadruple. However, the sweet caramel notes are reserved for the Gulden Draak Classic. Gulden Draak Quadruple Family The new recipe based on 4 times more malt gives Gulden Draak 9000 Quadruple a deep golden amber color and a slightly fruity aroma. Together with the smooth and slightly sweet taste, this creates a beautifully rounded bouquet with hints of dried fruits. Like the other specialty beers from the Van Steenberge brewery, Gulden Draak 9000 Quadruple is a top-fermented beer with secondary fermentation. A wine yeast is used for secondary fermentation, which not only contributes to the incomparable flavor, but also guarantees a long shelf life with flavor evolution.
VAN STEENBERGE BREWERY, 6 GENERATIONS OF MASTER BREWERS. The brewery was founded by Jean Baptiste De Bruin, married to Angelina Petronella Schelfaut. After their death, the brewery passed into the hands of nephew Jozef Schelfaut. Their daughter Margriet married Paul Van Steenberge, who was not only a brewer but also a politician and professor. In 1919 the name Bios Brewery was adopted. Subsequently, the branch passed to his son Jozef Van Steenberge (1962), his grandson Paul Van Steenberge (1990) and his great-grandson Jef Versele (since 1998).
