The special bean for fabada produced in León is one of the varieties of white beans that is highly valued and appreciated all over the world and is considered one of the star products of our gastronomy. The Fabada bean is creamy white, with a very smooth skin, oblong, straight, long and slightly flattened.

Once cooked, the bean preserves perfectly the integrity of its grain and the skin is almost unnoticeable.

Our bean stands out for its large size and its high protein, carbohydrate, crude fiber and iron content.

This bean is used to elaborate the famous Asturian dish "fabas asturianas" and a great variety of high gastronomy dishes all over the world.

Its production in Leon is by low bush where it maintains its quality and exquisite flavor.
