Duvel is a natural beer with a subtle bitterness, a refined taste and a distinctive hoppy character. The unique 90-day brewing process ensures its pure character, delicate effervescence and pleasant sweet alcoholic taste. Apart from pure spring water, the beer's main ingredient, barley is the most important raw material. The barley has to germinate for five days in the malting plant, after which the malt is obtained. The color of the malt, and thus the color of the beer, is determined by the temperature. Duvel obtains its typical characteristic bitterness by adding different varieties of aromatic Slovenian and Czech hops. We only use exclusive hops recognized for their consistent and outstanding quality.
OVER 60 COUNTRIES in 1923, Duvel production began with just a few cases. Today, countless beer lovers can enjoy Duvel in virtually all parts of the world (more than 60 countries). The beer is still brewed with deep respect for the original recipe and the time it needs to mature.
