A brewery in the Netherlands dating back to 1719. The Moorees family was already brewing craft beer on a small scale, as early as 1680, in the De Kerkdijk brewery in Lieshout. The brewery would finally end up in the hands of the Swinkels, in 1773, after the marriage between one of the daughters of the Moorees, Brigitta and Ambrosius Swinkels.

Their beer is brewed with mineral water and barley that they malt themselves. Since 1939, Bavaria has had its own malting plant. Since the 1990s, the Dutch brewery has also had its own natural mineral water spring. This gives Bavaria the possibility to control the entire processing chain, managing the ingredients themselves.
