ROOTS, TRADITION, WORK AND PASSION

Santos García was historically one of the winegrowers of Valtuille de Abajo. Until not long ago, he cared for vines that today are between 75 and 110 years old. He sold these quality grapes or made wines in bulk, already highly appreciated in the area at that time.

José Antonio García is Santos' grandson. His father is from Corullón and his mother from Valtuille de Abajo. He was born and lived in Barcelona, until in 2010 he decided to reinterpret his own life script and return to Bierzo to take charge of the family vineyard: those old vines that his grandfather cared for so carefully.

Since then, in his micro family winery, the essence of the winemaking tradition of Bierzo is evident: the smallholding, the small winegrowers, the limited productions... everything that gives character to this land and makes it unique.

Fifteen years have passed since that first harvest. Today, from those old vines come honest wines, without artifice, a reflection of who I am, of my emotions and my way of interpreting the environment that surrounds me.
