For more than 35 years we had to put Christmas beer on the back burner, but in 2002 the tradition was revived with Gouden Carolus Christmas. It is a strong beer, dark ruby red in color and full of character, with an alcohol percentage of 10.0% alc.vol. Brewed in August, the beer rests for a few months to reach an optimal balance. Three types of hops and 6 different types of herbs and spices define the rich flavor of this Christmas beer. Top notch!
In 2010, the 17th-century family farm in Blaasveld was turned into a whisky distillery. Production of Gouden Carolus Single Malt began the same year. The whisky was launched three years later, in 2013, and has already won several international awards! The brewery has now gained an international reputation and exports to more than 40 countries. The beers have earned worldwide praise. In proof of this, the brewery has received several international awards over the past few years.
