This Triple is a performance, powerful and rich at the same time, without ever falling into excess. It’s a beer that displays its complexity, without falling into heaviness. The color is yellow gold, luminous. The nose is a little honey, candied apricot. The palate is complex, silky, intense, long, fruity with touches of flaked almonds and dried white fruits, never alcoholic. The end is marked by a little touch of bitterness which makes the pleasure last again and again...
The Brewery offered consumers a very wide range of products, from table beers to strong beers, through a whole range of densities, colors, bitternesses and tastes. The brewer himself ensured the distribution of his products in a relatively small radius around the Brewery. It was at the beginning of the 20th century that La Gauloise, currently the oldest brand still produced at the Brewery, a top-fermented brown beer, was brewed for the first time. From the beginning, this beer was an undeniable success. The Brewery was incorporated as a public limited company in 1949. Independent of any Belgian or foreign brewing group, it still retains its family character. In 1960, both the agricultural activity and door-to-door deliveries were definitively abandoned. This was the beginning of distribution via supermarkets, drink markets and beer merchants. With the takeover of the Brasserie Centrale de Marbaix-La-Tour in 1967, the Brasserie du Bocq added two new beers to its product range: the SAISON REGAL, which is currently the GAULOISE AMBREE, and whose idea gave rise in 2013 to the SAISON 1858 and the REGAL CHRISTMAS, since renamed GAULOISE CHRISTMAS. It was at this time that the Belot family decided to focus beer production solely on the production of special top-fermented beers with refermentation in bottles. In 1983, the Brasserie du Bocq abandoned the operation of the Brasserie Centrale de Marbaix-La-Tour to bring all beer production back to Purnode where the production tool was radically modernized on the basis of its own funds. Taking advantage of the craze for traditional beers, the Brasserie du Bocq is launching into exports. And it is a success. Indeed, Belgian beers have acquired an excellent reputation throughout the world. The Brasserie du Bocq exports mainly to France, the Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain, Spain, Switzerland, Finland, Australia, Japan, China, Sweden, the United States, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, etc. In seven years, production has doubled to reach 114,683.31 hectoliters in 2018. With a current turnover of more than €14,823,842.63, the Brasserie du Bocq is one of the largest independent breweries in Wallonia. Today, in Purnode, even if the BELOT family has transferred its heritage to the KEERSMAEKERS family who have been producing CORSENDONK at the Brasserie du Bocq for over 30 years, and even if the Brewery has largely exceeded its regional framework, nothing has changed and the values of the company remain intact. Let's bet that this story will continue for a long time to come and that the beers of Bocq will still bring life to this small Condroz village of Purnode
