Kasteel Donker is part of the family of strong dark beers in which roasted malt takes the lead. The first beer in the Kasteel family is a full-bodied beer with obvious hints of caramel, coffee and chocolate. The sweet initial flavor makes this beer surprisingly complex and very approachable.
With the Beer Castle, Kasteel Brouwerij Vanhonsebrouck is making history. Bierkasteel is the name of our impressive new brewery complex in Izegem. This is something unique in itself, because in the last hundred years not a single new brewery has been built from scratch on a new site in our country.
