what is a lager? Lager beers are sisters to lagers, with similar drinkability but with more developed flavors. The alcohol percentage is often higher than in a conventional session lager, ranging from 5% to 9.5%. Golden in color, they are usually top-fermented beers, which means they are cloudy and packed with fruity and herbal flavors. However, don't be discouraged if that sounds intense, most blondes are also malty, so unlike IPAs, they are more welcoming to new fans. Blondes are usually enjoyed in the summer months, but, of course, many also love to serve this style of beer in the colder months due to the strong flavors and warming alcohol percentage.
